Back in September, I signed up for the Color Run here in Phoenix with a group of my close friends. The day finally came for us to get to runnin'!
It was 5 in the morning, when I suddenly roll over in bed and what do I hear? ... pouring rain.
This is Phoenix! The desert! It never rains here, except (of course) for the weekend of the color run.
The rain didn't stop us though! We may have been drenched and full of mud, but running with pretty colors makes for a good time.
To be honest, I'm not sure why it's so fun. I don't find running very fun. I don't find being soaked fun. And really getting a mouthful of cornstarch that stains your whole body blue...not so fun.
But, for some reason, the whole event was a total blast & supported the Special Olympics of Arizona.
I'd highly recommend you do the run when it's in your town!
